Karen Boyer

Karen Boyer has been an RN for over 40 years.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University in West Chester, PA.  Karen initially worked in Labor and Delivery and began her management experience as she advanced to become Nurse Manager of the Birthing Center at Community Hospital of Lancaster, PA. 

Karen joined Pentec in 1994 and managed the High Risk Perinatal program for 8 years; then transitioned to intrathecal pump management program in 2002.  Karen was instrumental in creating the original Intrathecal Nurse Training Program which received ANCC Accreditation as a Nursing Skills Competency Program.  She has had several different management positions here at Pentec and is currently Executive Nurse Director Clinical Operations.

Outside of Pentec Karen and her husband enjoy traveling in their RV and riding rail trails on their bikes.
