October is American Pharmacists Month

October is American Pharmacists Month, which is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the health care field. The month-long observance recognizes the impact these professionals have on improving medication use, advancing patient care, and monitoring patient health.

In addition to the month long celebration, October 12 is the First Annual Women Pharmacist Day. This day recognizes the accomplishments of women in a traditionally male dominated field. October 16^th recognizes Pharmacy Technicians and their contributions with working closely with pharmacists to ensure the proper medications get to the intended patients.
