Ed Dean
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Ed Dean brings over 20 years of experience focused on building Human Resource programs and processes in support of geographically dispersed workforces. Ed’s background includes roles across various industries, which include healthcare, manufacturing, retail and sales/distribution organizations.
Prior to joining Pentec Health, Ed was the Director of Human Resources at Symbria. In this role, Ed was focused on rebuilding the organizations’ Talent Acquisition function to support the growth of their long term care services across Pharmacy, Rehabilitation and Well-Being service lines. His team closed over 1,200 open positions in 2022, which allowed the organization to service their existing contracts at a much lower cost of care and increased the overall retention of Symbria employees. During his time as an HR Officer with AMITA Health, he implemented strategic staffing and retention initiatives focused on critical business needs which resulted in a 66% reduction in turnover for key roles and an 86% reduction in overall external labor spend.
Ed holds a BA in Organizational Communications and a Human Resource Management minor from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He also holds certifications focused on training facilitation and also lean/project management.
