Matthew Deans

Chief Executive Officer

Matthew Deans is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Pentec Health, Inc., a nationwide leader in clinical nutrition and specialty infusion therapies and services. With over two decades in the home and alternate site healthcare industry, Matt has demonstrated a history of driving strategic growth and innovation.

His experience has spanned commercial, operations, business and corporate development functions, as well as pharmaceutical supply chain and procurement. As Senior Vice President of Business Development and part of the Executive Team at Option Care Health, Inc. (OPCH), Matt led product and service development across pharmaceutical manufacturers, health plans, healthcare systems and providers. Additionally, he was responsible for the company’s high-risk obstetrical home care and ancillary healthcare network management businesses, and supervised trade relations and supply chain, overseeing $2+ billion of annual pharmaceutical spend. Notably, Matt played a key role on the management team that led the sale and carve-out of Walgreens Infusion Services to Madison Dearborn Partners in 2015 as well as the subsequent merger with BioScrip in 2019 to form Option Care Health.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, Matt developed a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving skills that have been essential throughout his career. He later earned an MBA in Health Sector Management from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, expanding his knowledge in healthcare systems, strategic planning and business operations.

Matt is an active member of the National Home Infusion Association serving on the Government Affairs Committee where he represents Pentec Health and the greater home infusion industry on legislative and regulatory matters. He was a proponent in the introduction of the Preserving Patient Access to Home Infusion Act (H.R. 4104) and Expanding Care in the Home Act (H.R. 2853), aimed at broadening coverage for home infusion services for Medicare beneficiaries, who prefer access to healthcare in their homes.

Under Matt’s leadership, Pentec Health has experienced significant growth, expanding its range of services and offerings. His commitment to building around the core competencies at Pentec Health has enhanced the organization’s ability to innovate and expand the therapeutic markets they can participate in. Most importantly, Matt has defined a clear and compelling growth strategy, and has executed on the company’s diversification plan, repositioning the company as a trusted leader in specialty infusion and home and alternate site healthcare.
