GLP-1 RAs, Weight Loss & CKD: Maintaining Muscle Mass and Nutritional Status

This course will provide an overview of the use of GLP-1 RAs for CKD patients with a focus on maintaining adequate nutritional status, muscle mass, muscle strength and function during weight loss.  Additional content will include practical dietary guidelines for the management of GLP-1 RA related gastrointestinal symptoms, achieving optimal protein intake and specific nutrients of concern.

Dietitians: This program awards 1 CPEU in accordance with the Commission on Dietetics Registration’s CPEU Prior Approval Program.

Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency Beyond Cystic Fibrosis: A Case-Driven Update on Diagnosis, Treatment, and Nutrition

This CE session reviews exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) presentation beyond cystic fibrosis using a case-based approach. This course covers pancreatic physiology, clinical signs of EPI, diagnostic testing, pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, nutrition management, formula/supplement selection, vitamin replacement, adherence challenges, and long-term monitoring. Attendees will walk away with actionable clinical tools and recommendations to significantly improve clinical health outcomes and patient quality of life.

Dietitians: The CPE activity application for this activity is pending CDR review and approval for 1 CPEUs.
