Clinical Nutrition Strategies for Managing CKD and Liver Disease

This course focuses on the unique nutrition challenges of patients living with liver disease undergoing dialysis. Participants will explore the most common causes of liver disease, identify patients at high risk for steatotic liver disease (SLD), and learn how metabolic syndrome impacts disease progression. The course emphasizes nutrition assessment and targeted interventions for malnutrition in liver disease and provides guidance on tailoring nutrition care for dialysis patients with concurrent liver conditions.

Dietitians: This program awards 1 CPEU in accordance with the Commission on Dietetics Registration’s CPEU Prior Approval Program.

Nurses: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP17581, for 1.0 Contact Hour for Nurses.
